METALLON 2026: A National level Students’ Technical Event

The Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology, Gandipet, Hyderabad in association with the Indian Institute of Metals (Hyderabad Chapter) has organized the National Level Students’ Technical Conference, METALLON-2026 on February 13, 2026 as an integral part of the Institute Annual Day NIRVANA-2026. The Event was inaugurated by Dr. N. Sai Anurag, Project Scientist, Center for Materials for Electronics Technologies, Hyderabad ad the Distinguished Alumnus of the Department. He expressed his gratitude to the Faculty Members of the Department for mentoring his career and transforming his life during his graduation at the Institute. Further, he advised all the students to make the best use of all the facilities of the Department and the expertise of the Faculty Members of the Department to scale up to newer heights in their careers and become the most sought after metallurgists of the Nation. He ensured his support to the students of the Department at any instant. The Event witnessed the presence of the students from other Institutes viz., RGUKT Basar, JNTUH Hyderabad. Several Technical competitions Meta Quiz, Technical Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation, Metallography contest, Meta Sudoku, Meta Crossword were part of the Tech Fest. The event concluded with awarding prizes to all the winners of the events. In this regard, Dr. K. Ramanjaneyulu, Head of the Department, MME, Dr. S. Santhi, Faculty Convener, METALLON-2026, and the staff of the Department have conveyed their best wishes.
